Abstract

Many terms related to Balinese cuisine need to be documented to prevent them from falling into disuse or disappearing. Beyond describing linguistic aspects from a morphological perspective, this study also aims to document Balinese culinary terms that remain active and evolving within the Balinese community through their usage in Balinese sentences. Balinese culinary terms are highly diverse and numerous. These terms can be analyzed morphologically—covering base forms, as well as forms with prefixes, infixes, suffixes, and confixes—and examined in terms of their usage within the context of communication in Balinese sentences.
