Article Processing Charges

In order to sustain the production of our fully-refereed open access journal, each article accepted for publication in Linguistics and Culture Review is subject to an Article Processing Charge of USD 160. This fee is used to cover the costs of the peer-review process, professional typesetting and copyediting, as well as online hosting, long-term preservation, distribution to libraries and content aggregators worldwide, and extensive promotion to potential readers. The refund can not be done for the accepted and published papers. There is no submission fee.

Editors and reviewers are not involved in author payment process and do not discuss charges with authors. The ability to pay does not influence whether or not a manuscript is accepted for publication.

Information regarding payment of these charges will be provided following acceptance for publication. Inquiries concerning Article Processing Charges should be addressed to the Editorial Office.

Waiver Policies

If the submitting author is affiliated with an organization which is listed as an American Linguist Association Member, this membership offers a discount on the Article Processing Charge and the author has a reduced expense. Moreover, Article Processing Charges are automatically waived for authors who work for institutions in developing countries (countries classified by the World Bank as low-income and lower-middleincome economies). However, other authors who do not fulfill these criteria can also request a waiver or a discount during the submission process.

Funding Opportunities

Authors who are looking for funds to support the payment of Article Processing Charges have a number of options to consider. For details visit our website.
